Community Partners

The Summer Fund fosters collaboration among youth-serving organizations in an effort to leverage summer opportunities and engage underserved youth in targeted initiatives designed to promote summer learning, self-esteem building, and leadership and social development skills.

We identify and draw on the expertise of key community partners to deepen our impact and enhance our efforts to build, sustain and strengthen the summer program field as a whole. By leveraging these key partnerships, we are able to provide opportunities, supports and resources to enhance and improve summer programming for at-risk and underserved youth.

Our Impact

Partnering with the Summer Fund allowed the Boston Harbor Island Alliance to expand its reach and support community visits that might not have been possible without the partnership. In addition to bringing children and youth to visit the islands, we were also able to raise awareness about the islands among the more than 390 camp counselors, campers, and parents who may not have known about us otherwise.
